ELDERS

Parkway is an elder-led and congregationally-governed church. Under Christ’s authority, the elders are recognized by the congregation to lead, feed, protect, and care for the church. No single elder leads the church; instead, the elder team collectively bears the responsibility for the spiritual oversight and direction of the church. This group of biblically qualified men works to set the vision and lead the church to embrace and fulfill it. In addition, these men function as leaders for the congregation by setting an example of a Christ-like life and modeling complete surrender to Him.

Dr. JAMES CARROLL

Lead Pastor

James has served as our Lead Pastor since 2010. He is married to Mikila and they have two children - Kenna and Jake.  

Joseph McCord

Pastor of Students & Families 

Joseph has served as our Pastor to Student's & Families since 2022. He is married to Dani and they have three children - Eli, Adon, and Josie. 

Dwight Newton

Lay Elder

Dwight has been a member at Parkway since 2000, and he leads an adult small group each Sunday. He is married to Michelle, and they have three sons - Cole, Clay, and Zeke.

Ron tyler

Lay Elder

Ron has been a member at Parkway since it began in 1996, and he leads an adult small group each Sunday. He is married to Susan, and they have two adult sons (Wes and Daniel) and three grandchildren. 

Jacob Vincent

Lay Elder

Jacob has been a member at Parkway since 2000, and he leads an adult small group each Sunday. He is married to Lee Ann (who serves on our ministry staff), and they have three children - Anna, David, and Sarah. 

DEACONS

Parkway is a church served by a group of biblically qualified men who lead in caring for the practical needs of our congregation. Describing their specific functions and responsibilities is difficult because they are often reactive and fluid, but they focus on tangible needs so the elders are free to teach the word and shepherd members.
